What ever happened to the original Steve from blues clues? I thought at first he was fired because he was on drugs. But then I heard he's commited suicide? Which is true? Which is not? Is he alive? I remember he once started a singing career, is he still preforming?

he wanted to expand on his acting carrer....kind of like David Caruso leaving NYPD Blue (until CSI came long)

He is still singing and he's on Blues Clues. Sometimes the other guy is on and some times it's Steve. I flipped past the show the other day and both guys were on the show.

steve is still alive, he did a reunion show and said the real reason he left blues clues was that he was starting to lose his hair and didn't want to be bald on a kid's show.
i think he said it kinda as a joke, but he is balding.
he did say something about pursuing an acting career, and had a walk on part on CSI or something.

i dont really know what happend to steve but when you get stuck doing a wierd job like that i wouldnt be surprised if you end up in drugs...
