If your boyfriend cannot say he likes you then you cannot assume that he does.
You only believe that he likes you because of what he may be doing with or to you (which he can do with anyone) but without the words you are assuming it from within your own heart.
If there is a communicate problem with saying it then look forward to other communication problems and a difficult relationship. Best of luck

What can you not say? Do you not like him like that? If so, just tell him you just want to be friends. There will be some awkwardness but it will eventuall go away.
