Construction or possibly a mom and pop place. Also maybe look into a contract type deal like a handyman, or landscape design. There are limits but don't limit yourself. Not very many large retail companies would take a felon but so what...who wants to work at a large retailer like that for ever anyway. Also part of it depends on the felony. Be sure to be honest with your employer as well, and market yourself to lots of differant companies. Too many people just try for 1 position and may get discouraged when they don't get it. Be open to new possibilities and look for jobs that offer good pay & benefits.

There are a lot of jobs in the construction industry, for example, where employers really don't ask too many questions. To get an idea of where to get work, figure out where illegal immigrants might be employed. They won't ask about you either.

Yeah, The 1st answerer was sortof correct. Seriously, see if there are openings in your police dept. They're pretty easy to get a job. Also, If you want you can be a soldior. My cousin is one and he loves it.
