its a floor lamp. The shade is handmade paper. The bulb uses only 5 watts.

I've seen some of those lamps that have 4 miles of string wrapped around them. I've seen others that have a polyester nubby fabric w/ seams at the metal form wires. You may use something like linen, gossamer (many layers), tulle, nubby silk, or even a wide-weave chenille. Go to a fabric store and ask a lady who works there... they'll know.

It is the Designer's Name. Not referring to the material. Certainly not very attractive!

It said right on the ad the shade is made from paper.....and listed what everything else is made from.
