When you buy your dog food do you pick out what you think looks good and what might taste good to them. They just have so many varieties to choose from you would actually have to pick out what you think would taste good even though it wouldn't taste good for you. Does this make sense? LOL

Absolutely, it does make sense. Buy a premium, nutritionally complete food without a lot of filler (less crap in, less crap out - for Real!). Go by the Label though - Not by the pretty picture in front. Color (dyes) can actually be harmful.

Also, if you really want to know what your dog thinks and your budget will allow it, buy several different tastes/brands and put a little of each into little bowls.
If your dog is very good at sit/stay you can do this with him in the same room, if not make sure your dog is in a different room before you set the bowls on the floor (you may want to take notes on which bowl has what food and see which one he scarfs up.
Write down which one he chooses 1st, 2nd, etc.

If you decide to go with a different dog food, be sure and introduce it slowly so your dog doesn't get an upset stomach. Just gradually mix a little of the new brand food with the old brand food. Continue to increase the new, decrease the old.

I use what is most nutritionally complete for my pets. The advertising companies make a fortune off of people by trying to get us to buy what looks good ever if it is not healthy.

I get what my vet recommended for them. Yeah, it might be pricey, but with Science Diet (one loves it, the other is a picky eater anyway) I've noticed their stool is small and dry. Their coats are in nice shape, and they are maintaining their proper weight (one stable, the other increasing steadily as she is a puppy).

Buy whatever kind you want. If you want to feed them wet food then mix it in with dry food so it isn't to rich for your dog. Most of the time dogs don't care what they're eating just if they're eating at all.

I pick out what is healthy for them.
Ask your Vet what you should get for your pet.
Senoir...Adult...Puppy...Large dog...small dog...
Then look at brands and prices.
You don't want to be too expensive.
If your dog won't eat it or is getting sick try a different food.

I buy what is good for him, and I stick with it. I like Science Diet, kinda expensive, but I think it is better for him.

lol. I buy Pedigree. My dogs love it and they donate money to animal shelters so it all works out.

I use Nutro Max. Dogs love it, its good for them, they don't need to eat much of it, and they have smaller poops! =) Plus, they don't use any corn (bad for doggies).
