That is most likely a Urinary Tract Infection (lower tract to be precise). It is easy to cure; 3 days of an antibiotic called Septra or Bactrim is most often used. However, you need to get it taken care of right away. UTI's that are ignored can progress to something called Pyelonephritis, a kidney infection. This is very serious and may need to be treated with hospitalization and IV antibiotics. Symptoms include a fever and back pain when you tap over the kidney that is infected

Your doctor will take a complete history and physical getting all the details. He or she will then probably run a urinalysis, which looks for White Blood Cells, bacteria, leukocyte esterase, etc. signs of a UTI.

If you are sexually active, it may be an STD such as gonnorrhea (the clap) or clamydia. These are very serious and can lead to bad long term damage. So be honest with your doctor. And please use barrier protection (condoms) every single time if/when you do have sex (along with a backup method to prevent pregnancy, like the pill).

As far as immediate treatment. Drink plenty of water. You'll urinate more (which will hurt), but it helps flush out bacteria. Cranberry juice is useless. The concentration required to acidify your urine is too much for any human to drink.

Bottom line is see a doctor as soon as possible.

UTI sounds about right ..... no need to panic... just go see your Dr.
of course if ur sexually acitve it can be a huge number of things ....
your best bet is to make an appointment asap.... otherwise it will get worse ... BTW, if u don't see a doctor bcuz ur pain went away ...it DOESN'T mean the infection did ... it could mean it has gone to the next level....
you could end up with blood poison if left untreated... and from there it gets MUCH worse....
sooooooooooo before u hit the panic button .. do the simple thing and call ur doctor .... right now the worse thing you'll need is a small pill ... and the worse is a horse pill lol

ur question wasn't gross ... ALWAYS better to ask and learn then to keep shut and suffer in silence .....

Try drinking A LOT of cranberry juice and water. You will still need to go see a doctor to get an antibiotic because you more than likely have an infection of some sort. And don't feel bad because people, especially women, get those kinds of infections all the time.

doesn't sound gross. You probably have a UTI ( unrinary tract infection ) or bladder. you should see a dr if this continues and they can get you the right meds. if not then buy some over the counter stuff like azo. drink lots and lots of water, even though it hurts to pee the more you drink the more the virus is getting out of your body and soon it won't hurt so much

the doctor told me that cranberry juice is only good for preventing a bladder infection not for curing antibiotics what is needed for bladder infection but also have tried apple cider vinegar when it was ergent. If its a yeast infection you will itch and may have a discharge ,for this you can get stuff at drug store that says it will cure it other wise you have to get a prescription from your doctor

Could be a number of things... it can range from a urinary tract infection to possibly an STD. You need to get it checked by a doctor to get the proper diagnosis.

You are probably suffering cystitis , it is an urinary tract infection. Visit your doctor and ask him for Uretron , its the best medicine for it , and it will make pee green.

start drinking as much cranberry juice as you can stomach; that helps clear up UTI's and promotes urinary tract health, but also go ahead & call the doctor. you might need antibiotics.

Go see a doctor, you've either got a urinary tract infection, a vaginal yeast infection, or something worse.
