Tell him not to go there. There is no way to stop it other that taking away the computer. If your child won't follow your rules then no computer.

Well, the most straight forward answer is to have you sit down with your child and have a one on one talk with him/her about the dangers of sites like MySpace. There are a number of ways to prevent a computer from loading MySpace and you can set your home computer to block the site; however, there is no way you can block the site on other computers your child might have access to.
If you still want to go ahead any block MySpace or sites like it then I recommend you install an Internet Content Filtering software program like Naomi (http://www.naomifilter.org/)
"Naomi is an advanced internet filtering program, easy to use and totally free, intended for families, and kids in particular.
Naomi is able to constantly monitor all internet connections, protecting children from inappropriate online material - such as obscene or violent contents; pornography, pedophilia and erotism in the form of images or texts; sites that popularize drugs; gambling games; terrorism; hate propaganda; occultism; sects; blasphemy, etc." -- naomi.org
If you want to block specific sites then you can try using Hoster. Read:
"Learn How to Block Access Selected Websites" (http://winston-blog.blogspot.com/2006/10/learn-how-to-block-access-to-selected.html)

You can prevent this by enabling your Content Advisor. This steps are for Internet Explorer >Tools>Internet Options>Content Tab, Enable you Content Advisor, then go to Approved Sites and type the website you want to restrict and select on never. It will ask you to type in a password and a hint but do not forget this so that later on you can modify you settings.... Hope this helps....

you can block anyone from gaining access to myspace.com or any other site you so wish by doing the following:
Open Internet Explorer
Click on Tools on the menu bar
select Internet Options
then select the security tab
then click on the restricted sites Icon (red circle with white line through it)
then click on the sites button
here you can add or remove what sites you want restricted

This is so simple. Tell the kid firmly, NO MY SPACE and if the kid goes there, boot the kid in the a**. That will be the last time the kid goes there.
