if so, what are the pros and cons? i read this vaccine is only given to female virgins between the ages of 9-26.

You don't have to be a virgin to get the HPV vaccine, you just have to be between the ages of 9 and 26.

Here is a site that is helpful and useful. Yes I think they give it to girls as young as 9-13 but also girls 13-26 . They give it to girls so young assuming that they are still virgins and so they are not amued from getting anything but they will be more on the safe side of getting anything when they do decide to have sex.
