I think thats fine.My kids did about the same.I dont think it would hurt to put a little cereal in his milk. You might just want to make sure its rice cereal though. The plain kind. Its easier on their stomach than the rest. Most doctors would tell you not too but I did anyway. The new pediatrician I have now didnt tell me not to with my daughter.I think its different with each baby. Some babies are more satisfied with cereal and others cant hold it down.It wouldnt hurt to try though.

Try feeding 6 oz at a time. Every 2 hours seem like too often. He should be going 3-4 hours between feedings at this point. Wait until your baby's 4 month check-up and then ask the doctor about giving cereal. NEVER put cereal in the baby's bottle unless the doctor tells you too and tells you how to mix it. It can be a choking hazard. People that put it in the bottle are being lazy because they don't want to take the time to feed with a spoon.

this sounds about right hun. my daughter would have 4-5oz every 3 hours and sleep from about 11pm til 7am at 3 months.

when he drinks his bottles does he drink all the milk then cry for more. if he does try upping his bottles to 5oz or maybe even 6 and space the feeds out to 3 hours. this is what we did with our daughter and now she has a bottle every 3-4 hours.

in the uk the guidelines for weaning are 6 months. 3 months is quite early to introduce anything apart from milk as their stomachs arent able to digest anything else properly.

but if you feel he is ready to try cereal then go ahead as at the end of the day you are his mum and only you can decide.

i started weaning my daughter at 4 months as she was a very hungry baby she is nearly 6 months old and i will start to try her with some fruit and veg as i feel she is ready now to try different flavours then just baby rice.

hope this helps.

Babies are all different and I don't think you should jump to adding cereal. If your baby is gaining weight steadily, he doesn't need more calories. I'm in favor of skipping the cereal in the bottle and waiting until 4 months to started spoon-feeding. This should be under the advice of your pediatrician because your son also needs to be sitting up well and have lost the tongue-thrust reaction.

Well i was giving my son 4 ounces he to was still hungry. Go a head and make a 6 ounce bottle once in a while your baby is going threw a growing spurt. Also make sure your burping your baby well if not he or she could still feel hungry.

Take your infant's weight and multiply it with the aid of two.5. it truly is what percentage oz. of formulation he needs to eat in a 24 hour era. because you're fortunate and your infant sleeps 8.5 hours at nighttime he needs to drink this a lot of formulation in the course of the day. it isn't probability-free to commence meals till 6 months of age yet because you'll do what you'll do... FIrst supply your infant his morning bottle and then after he finished his bottle - supply him cereal. Cereal is between the first meals that little ones are all started on because after 6 months of age they choose further iron. Take about 3 teaspoons and combine it with formulation and spoon feed it to him. Cereal might want to no longer be blended right into a bottle - it will strengthen a baby probability of aspirating. Your proper - all study have shown that cereal in a bottle does no longer "replenish" slightly one's abdomen. once you've performed cereal contained in the mornings for about per week then you definately can upload cereal contained in the night time as well. Then about per week later you may attempt different nutrition. Use the same nutrition for about per week before introducing yet another style of nutrition. An extreme nutrition allergic reaction will take position from minutes to an afternoon yet some smaller complications (constipation, dissatisfied abdomen) might want to take some days to take position. in the beginning then purely eat about a million jar an afternoon - divided right into some different settings.

It would be fine to give him cereal at this age. When you do that, he'll probably get fuller which means you won't have to feed him anymore than usual.
