It should be Florida.
Michigan's only loss was to #1 Ohio St, but the strength of schedule is the worst of the three teams with only quality wins over Wisconsin and Notre Dame.
USC's only loss was to a so-so, unranked Oregon St, and their strength of schedule was better than Michigan's with victories over Notre Dame, Nebraska, Arkansas, Cal, and Oregon. They had a string of three very narrow victories and lose style points for that.
Florida had the strongest strength of schedule. No one got out of the SEC unscathed by a loss. Eight of the 12 SEC teams had winning records. Five of them are currently ranked. Victories over #9 LSU and #13 Tennessee, and three quarters of good football against #11 Auburn. Southern Miss, Kentucky, Georgia, and South Carolina also had winning records. They finish the season against #8 Arkansas. That's 8 games against teams with winning records. Michigan and USC weren't nearly as challenged this season.
Boise St played one Pac 10 game. The rest were against WAC, MAC, Big Sky, MWC, teams. That schedule doesn't warrant a #2 ranking for being undefeated.

I answer this question with caution, since I had given my opinion to a question earlier regarding USC, and I think that Yahoo is a USC fan.
No one gave Michigan a chance against ND, then they went in to South Bend and totally dominated them, up and down the field, the WHOLE game.
ND went to USC an underdog. Very few, (if any) experts gave ND a chance to win, so their loss wasn't a surprise to anyone who knows anything about college football......Even ND fans!!
Which makes Michigan's an even bigger win than USC's.
In my totally biased opinion, I think that Ohio State and Michigan should be playing for the national title.
You may say, 'why should they play again, they already played?' I say that the two best teams in the country should play for the national title every year, and Ohio State and Michigan are the two best teams in the country this year, regardless of their BCS rankings.
Auburn has lost, twice...at home......Florida lost to Auburn and had more than a few unimpressive wins against MUCH lesser competition...
ND lost B I G to Michigan 47 - 21.....in South Bend and BIG to USC 44 - 24.....AT USC.
Bottom line......Michigan lost to Ohio State, who has been # 1 all year (including the preseason)........AT OSU, by 3 points.
USC lost to Oregon State ( who hasn't been ranked at all this year, in any poll, even after they beat USC ) ......if that doesn't merit a OSU - UM rematch ( on a neutral field ), then you are a fan whose team is trying to get into the national title game, or, you just don't want to see the best two teams play for the national title.
I won't fault anyone, ever, for being a fan of their team, I never have. If you have a favorite team you should defend them, always, but, if your team isn't one of the two best teams in the country, then you should be happy that the two best teams in the country are playing for the national title.....
PLEASE, don't root (or RANK) against a team just because you don't like them. As fan of college football you should always want to see the two best teams in the country play for the national title, each, and every year. That is what the BCS was created for, to end the arguing amongst all fans throughout the country, and crown a true national champion.
At the end of it all, USC's or Michigan's worst scenario is playing in the Rose Bowl, in my opinion the greatest of all bowls (also it was the first ever bowl game....Jan. 1,1902 Michigan 49 - Stanford 0)
So I'm not complaining that Michigan might not make the BCS NC game, I'm saying, simply, that the two best teams in the country should play for the national title........every year.

not florida or boise state.
it should be usc, because obviously their loss against oregon state is so much less humiliating than michigan losing by the same margin on the road at the number 1 team in the country, even though oregon state is unranked. both beat notre dame, but usc's win was more impressive, given that it was at home and by a slimmer margin than michigan's.
sarcasm people, it should be michigan, even though i would rather not have the title game be a regular season rematch

If Usc won Florida would not have any reason to leap frog in the first place because the Championship bowl will already be set and there would be no reason to be moved to 3rd

Well it should probably be Michigan, but USC is right behind them.
Florida isn't even close to these two.

My heart is with Boise State...they are Div 1, and they are undefeated...hell, give 'em a shot at the title...And since they WON'T get a crack at the title, here's what's gonna happen...
USC will finish #2 in the BCS (even though it should be Michigan, but that won't happen...just can't....already had their shot) and then Ohio State will beat the Trojans so bad their dogs will hurt

Michigan. They lost to Ohio State on the road by 3 points. They're not playing because they lost too late in the season. (That's a joke)

definetly florida
why?
because if they beat arkansas, they will have beat them, lsu, south carolina, vanderbilt, tennesse, georgia, florida st., alabama, and kentucky
USC almost lost to washington st, washington, and arizona st, they beat arkansas when they were missing mcfadden,, they beat the most overrated team in the ncaaf (notre dame), a team that gets all of their wins from the academies, cal, who has a terrible qb, and oregon, who just plain sucks
Michigan, they already lost, its time for someone else
