Unfortunately I never learned how. When I was a teenager in the 80's, the only stick shift car in our family was a lime-green Ford Pinto, and I refused to be caught dead driving that. Funny, now the Pinto would probably be sorta cool in a retro way.
I think everybody should learn to drive stick. Wish I had.

I learned when my car got totaled and I bought the replacement which was a stickshift. It wasn't too hard unless I was on a steep hill. That was the only part that took some getting used to.

i do, but my next car is definitely going to be an automatic. stickshift is kind of a pain when you're stuck in traffic!

4 speed, 10 speed, 13 speed. I still can't drive a 3 and a 4 though.

My 9 yr. old brother taught me how to drive a stick. My step-father lost his patience with me, so my brother tried and succeeded! I was 15 when I learned how to drive that car.
That was Silver Bullet by the way.

I Do! I wish I could find a manaul tranny vehicle here in this little ol town cause I prefer a manual to automatic.

I learned and dont like hills! (Live in hilly PA)...Brings back memories of going in low gear until I got up enough speed and guts to hop to another gear...I am slightly better but still do not like hills...
