Maybe weired. But I am not clear about it. My forskin doesn't move back farther then head of the penis. Its very tight. I heard that for my kind of case circumcision needs to be done. I am a shy guy going for surgery. Some people say its not a must. You will not have any problem whatsoever. I am unable to make up my miind. Is it a must or is it optional? What are the consequences? Please let me know.

don't do it! there is noting wrong with what you describe. many foreskins do not move back all that far. if its tight there are things you can do and creams you can use to loosen it up that will be a lot less painful. it is not a must for sex... actually a foreskin makes sex better. it is an option, a poor option. the head will dry out become less sensitive and get hard from exposure. the foreskin protects the head and keeps it moist. there is no benefits to circ, it is a cosmetic surgery only. any women that says its a must are shallow uninformed women. the foreskin glides back and forth during sex making it more pleasurable for both people (i know this from experience and from friends who have experienced this as well). i highly recommend against it. you cannot change it back once you go through with it. if the foreskin is too tight then see a doc about it if the doc recommends circ see a few more. many American docs do not know how to treat any foreskin problems they just cut it off and know nothing about it. so be sure you get good opinions not just ill informed ones. good luck.
edited to add: girls that know better don't like circ... it makes a guy less senstive and makes sex ruffer. real women love intact men. also intact men do not smell... it is NOT dirt, unclean or smelly, again i know from experience... the worst smelling guys are the ones that don't bath regularly circed or not.

A lot of things are a must for sex: love, feelings of pleasure, a good relationship, learning about it from different sources, masturbation as a start, etc.

If you are not cut, then you need to wash under the foreskin with mild soap and water in your morning shower, and at least 2 or 3 times every day. If your foreskin is too tight and you need to force it back, and it gets stuck beneath the glans (head), then that is dangerous because it can cut off the blood supply to the head. If that happens go to your doctor or the ER right away. If you can't move the foreskin back beyond the tip of the penis because you have tight excessive skin, then it would be wise to be circumcised. Contrary to what some have said here, adolescent and adult circumcision is done as an outpatient. A numbing anesthetic is used. There is no pain. Usually discomfort afterward lasts only a few days. Return to school or work after the first week. Peeing is easy. The results mean simplified hygiene (washing like you wash the rest of your body once a day under the shower); no pain in masturbation or later sexual activities; no smell because you can't wash under the foreskin; easier intercourse with more pleasure for your partner because of greater staying power; greater sensitivity in the shaft and great sensitivity in the glans and frenulum ( keep it when you get circumcised); good receiving oral sex; and a wonderfully looking penis from this minor plastic surgery. Most people who have been circumcised later than infancy will tell you, go for it. You won't regret it neither will your wife. I am very happy that my sensible parents had me cut right after I was born. My sons are also. I believe very deeply in routine circumcision for all infant new borns.

No, circumcision is not a must. About 80% of the world's male population is uncircumcised and most of them don't have any problems.

In your case it seems like you have a condition called phimosis, where your foreskin is too tight/narrow to the point that you can't retract it so you can see the entire head of the penis (glans). If you have erections without pain or any major discomfort then you don't technically need a circumcision where other treatment is probably easier and better.

Stretching exercises relieve the condition in the majority of cases. Basically, take two fingers and stretch the opening of the foreskin as far as it'll go without pain or major discomfort (like increasing its radius) by hooking a finger on either side of the opening. It's a littler hard to describe and may take a few tries. Once you get the hang of it, do the exercise for a few minutes each day for a few weeks to a month. Then it should be large enough to allow you to fully retract to expose the glans.

If this doesn't work there are prescription creams that'll help when combined with the exercises. If after like a month or so and that doesn't work, there are surgical options (and not all of them forms of circumcision). See links for details.

If the foreskin moves enough to expose the glans (head) it won't be a problem. You might try careful stretching and you may consider circumcision if it is so tight that having an erection is painful.

As someone who has slept with both circumcised and uncircumcised men, I can honestly say I wish my husband still had his foreskin! I love him, but I prefer an intact man.

Talking to men who have had adult circumcisions, they seem to either be please or hate it. But those who hate it tend to say they had complications or have lost too much sensitivity during intercourse. And as a nurse, I've seen too many complications with infant circumcision. Even as an adult, you do run the risk for complications, either minor or major, including bleeding and infection. So I'd recommend trying all other options before having surgery.
Have you been to a Dr. and discussed steroid creams or stretching of the skin for the tightness? Here's a link that might help you.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

As long as your foreskin will pull right back to expose the groove under the head, then circumcision is not absolutely essential for sex. However if your foreskin will not go all the way back to expose that groove, then you cannot have good sex and your hygiene will be awful. Circumcision does make for FAR better sex, because you and your partner will feel so much more and also your hygiene will be much better and you'll be more comfortable. Most women who have tried both, prefer circumcised men for sexual reasons, appearance and hygiene. In my opinion all men should be circumcised routinely.

It is not a must for sex.But in your case, you might need to do it since you can't move it further back and it is very tight. It can lead to a condition called paraphimosis after you have erection.Blood cannot go back and trap in the head because of tightness caused by narrowed prepucial orifice. This will lead to sever pain and may end up in emergency surgery.

Ok, it doesn't make a penny's worth of difference to me if you get cut or stay intact. (the pro-circ people are the ones that make money if boys get cut) Man to man I am telling you that is the last thing you want to do. I know, I have been there, done that!

There is no going back for me.

What you want to do is sit in a hot tub and apply baby oil or even cooking oil (any oil that is not soapy or perfumed) to the tip of your penis. Work it back and forth (kind of fun isn't it) just about to the point of pain, do this every day for about a month. After a month or so you will be able to retract fully without pain. I wish I could have done that (It was called playing with it, when I was a boy, so they cut me, so I wouldn't have "touch myself" so much)

Do NOT get circumcised! You need to stretch the skin a bit, and your doctor can prescribe a cream that will help. But circumcision for this condition is like using a cannon to kill a mosquito.

If you get cut, sex will never be as pleasurable for you or your partner as it would have been had you stayed whole. If a doctor recommends it, get a second opinion! Your genitals should not be mutilated when much less drastic measures will do a far better job.

Women who say they would never sleep with a natural man do not know what they are missing! Believe me, it's incredibly better with the WHOLE thing! And any one who would reject you because your penis hasn't been chopped is so shallow that you're better off without her.

It's not needed, some guys have it, some don't. Most boys after they are born the foreskin is removed. Some people say that men who are not circumsized, have more sensation in the head of the penis because of the foreskin. That's what I've heard.
