Okay, well, when I go to the "address window" and type in 'www' and then a letter of the alphabet, it goes down to a bunch of different websites that I have visited in the past. Well, how do I delete them?

in internet explorer go to your tools menu at the top and select internet options. Then delete your history, you can also set the history to only store for the day that you are currently surfing.

Well, you will likely have windows XP. If thats the case, then go to the control panel and go to "internet options". Click on "clear history", and if you want to free up some room on your computers hard drive, click on delete cookies. For more, click on "delete files". Not to worry it won't delete computer files, just the files that come from the internet which are usually under the "temporary internet files" folder. Also, if you are concerned with children and pornography, you can always view were they have been and every page they visited by looking at the "history". If you have a virus program, often times it will save things so that it records wereyou have gone. Hope this helps.

Sincerely,
Wee Man.

In Internet Explorer, click Tools, then Internet Options, the delete your browsing history. Be aware that this erases all browsing history, not just the stuff that shows in the address bar.

The previous answer should work and also you can clear form and password info in >tools>internet options, go to the tab "contents," click on "Autofill." You can clear all your form and other "memorised" features in Internet Explorer. This all only if you are using Internet Explorer, you didn't specify which browser.

Also, turn off "autocomplete" under the content tab of internet options. This will stop the websites from filling in as you type.
