More then likely you have some file system corruption. By deleting some files and running defrags can help but i doubt it will repair your issue. You may need an operating system repair install to replace the damaged system files. I would recommend bringing it into your local Geek Sqaud Precinct other wise send me an e-mail to my yahoo account (geeksquad_dh@yahoo.com) and i'll see what i can do for you

Well, if it was me. See if you can get a program that fixes errors, keep in mind that sometimes those types of programs can create errors also. Your hard drive may have hidden things working in the background, if that is the case, it slows the computer down. You may also be running advanced programs or games which your computer may have a hard time running. If I were you, take it into a good computer shop, have him remove unwanted programs that may be hidden (especially spyware or addware which is a BIG problem and you may not be aware of), also have him add more RAM, the molre RAM the better, the CPU may even need an upgrade, its a lot I know, but it could be many things. I use a good program that "actually" cleans protects and scans for everything, it even lets me know when a hacker trys to get into my computer, which is actually all the time. It actually happens almost everytime "anyone" conects to the net. People can watch internet companies servers to see who connects to them. Hope this helps.

Sincerely,
Wee Man.
