Sam- He's just doing what he knows to do, he loves plants and animals, he's faithful, he's scared, he can't swim but he jumps into the water anyway, he's 'man enough' to not get in a knot when Frodo, under the influence of the ring, insults him- (his skin isn't paper thin), he's got common sense
fyi: I should note that I've not seen the movies, so this is based on the book; who knows what they did to him in the film version...

My favorite Lord of the Rings character is Frodo because he took up the challenge even when he knew things could go horribly wrong. Nobody else would, so he took it upon himself to rid Middle Earth of that evil.

Ooo I love LOTR! Okay well I will have to say Frodo first, Gandalf second, Sam third, Aragon fourth, Gimli fifth, Legolas sixth....hold on wait! No no push Aragon aside that spot is for Brandybuck and Took! The most adorable side characters.

Legolas - First off he's so hot. But then I think its cool that he's an Elf. Also very good sight and hearing. Ever notice that he never runs out of arrows? Just a thought.

Legilis (sorry about spelling) because I have always found the art of using a bow and arrows interesting. Also, I have a love of elves in general!

Aragorn. He is so awesome! He is reluctant to take up the throne, but then meets his destiny and does an awesome job at being a leader. And Viggo Mortenson is hot in the movie. *woot woot!!!*

Aragorn- something so great about courage, doing what's right, living life the way it should be despite the world's attempts to beat you down, and embracing the chance to be all you can be... yeah, that about sums it up. (I also like all the Elves- especially Glorfindel)

Tom Bombadil. He was his own country, untouched by good or evil acting around him. And he had a sense of humor.
