Is there any other ways of marriage that you don't have to get married in a church by a priest?

I'm athiest and I'd feel weird if I was married by a priest in a church (or out of one)... so are there any ways to have a nice fancy wedding without getting married by a priest?

Could we try to be mature about religion? I didn't bash christanity or any other religion... I just stated I'm athiest and it would feel weird to me to be married by priest. It wasn't ment to be a rude remark, just how I feel. I have Morals thank you.

Why not make it fun?... take the money you were going to use on a wedding, and either get married by a justice of the peace and throw a big party, or go to Vegas and get married by Elvis (who knows, you might strike it rich!)....to be married legally all you need is that piece of paper...and always keep in mind that a wedding does not make a marriage....trust, respect, love and communication make for a good marriage.

A judge or justice of the peace can officiate a wedding ceremony, as can the captain of a ship. Perhaps a wedding on water would be more to your liking.

Of course...you can get married by a Justice of the Peace and do it wherever you like. No religion required.

Congrats!

You know anyone can get a pastors certificate on the web. So with a little work by one of your close friends, you can be married by them! Saw it on the sitcom "friends" and checked it out. It's true!
