I have comcast digital cable and I am suscribed to all the basic, expanded, digital classic, digital plus, and HBO premium channels. I recently upgraded to the high def DVR box, and moved the old cable box into my bedroom. So now my living room has the DVR box, and my bedroom has the basic digital box which used to be in my living room. Each cable is split from the one cable jack that we have in the living room. For a few days the bedroom cable was working fine, but now I don't get the expanded channels(29-73) or the HBO channels(300-312). I tried unplugging and restarting the bedroom cable box but I still can't get the channels. It only says "Suscription Service...for ordering info press INFO..." and that's it. Comcast customer service is clueless, so I was hoping somebody here might have an idea what is going on. Why was I getting the channels a couple days ago, but not anymore? And remember, my living room DVR box does still get all the correct channels.

Thanks.

the splitter itself is causing the problem. more than likely you have the splitter connected at the cable coming from your wall plate, it should be connected from the out to tv port to then each of the tvs. you should have one coaxial cable connected to the out to tv then the splitter and another coaxial cable to each of you tvs.

make sure the cables are on the right connectors cable in to cable in exact and i know it seems obvious but all to often over looked they can be backwards and still get TV till the box tries to update..next try unplugging it for a count of 20 seconds or so make sure to wait.then plug in and do nothing let it cycle thru..if still Nothing take in and plug where the dvr box is see if the other cable or connectors are bad this way.if box still doesn't work the hard drive in box may be bad or it has just been dumped too long if box does work of course then you need to trace cable wires.as well as splitter can be bad or degrade signal to one of the boxes making it also not work

who ran the split ? comcast or yourself
If it was you that could be the problem. basically store bought splitters and cables may not support the Comcast signals

If it was comcast call them and get a tech out. Call and tell them you want to sit up a trouble call

Your connecting cable might not be tight enough. Try to redo and lay the cable out straighter. Might just need to tweek it a bit.

i might refer to the cable business company, myself. once I first got here to R&S I used to land in different frightening categories accidentally besides. i'm constructive that's all by making use of layout.

if tighting the cable doesn't work- try calling and having your box reset they can do it from the company - it should work. just call and have them reset from thier end
