Triple is the same as multiplying something by 3 eg 10 x 3=30 and so on 3 x 4 = 12.

To triple an item means to multiply by three.

e.g. the triple of twelve is 12 x 3 =36

Not 12^3 = 1728.

Surely triples means multiplying by 3 - does not mean cubed ie raised to power of 3
If something triples every day, then starting with 1 on the first day , it's 3 on the second, 9 on the third, 27 on the third, 81 on the fourth, 243 on the fifth, 729 on the sixth and 2187 by the end of the week.

If something triples, it increase by THREE TIMES - so it is multiplication.

e.g. The number of eggs tripled means that the original number of say, 7, has become 21.

To triple something is to multiply by 3.
To quadruple is to multiply by 4.

Multiplication of the same number by itself is the SAME as exponentiation...eg, 3 x 3 x 3 = 9 is the same as 3^3 ....
