Surely triples means multiplying by 3 - does not mean cubed ie raised to power of 3
If something triples every day, then starting with 1 on the first day , it's 3 on the second, 9 on the third, 27 on the third, 81 on the fourth, 243 on the fifth, 729 on the sixth and 2187 by the end of the week.
