The machine needs to be "leveled". Start with all legs turned into the machine as far as possible. If the rear legs are self leveling tilt the machine forward and let drop from about 6 inches from the floor. The machine should sit relatively flat from front to rear and from side to side. It does not need to be perfectly level.
Adjust the legs out so the machine does not rock from corner to corner. You want to keep the legs turned into the machine as far as you can to accomplish this. If you adjust a leg out too far and the machine rocks adjust the same leg back into the machine don't turn another leg out to compensate. If you keep adjusting the legs out too far he machine will become top heavy and then no matter how solid and flat you have the machine it will walk all over the place.

Hi Jody:
It sounds as though your washer is not standing level to the floor, you may want to adjust the leveling (screw) legs that are located at the bottom of your washer they may be stiff at first try channel locks or a crescent wrench it may help. Also at the time you are adjusting the legs place a level on top of your washer and when adjusting the legs stop when the bubble on the level is centered. Another reason for what you are experiencing may be you are overloading your washer with cloths and when the water is being introduced and it goes to cycling it spins out of balance. Best to ya! and I hope it helps.

it probably need to have the legs or feet leveled.
Each leg of the machine is provided with a screw down leg pad and when all four legs are down and the machine is level, it should stay in one place.
Failing that. place twelve [12] 42 pound concrete blocks on top when you turn it on and see if it runs away again.

It's uneven and is dancing b/c the legs are uneven. If you have a tile floor, you can probably shift it a bit and see if you can't level it again w/o having to unscrew the little feet and level it.
