I had a two years long distance relationship. I have never had faithfulness problems, ,we both have remained faithful and all. What I can say? it is costly (phone bills, etc).
Anyway, the only problem is that you will only know what the person will tell you and vice versa. It is interesting to keep in mind that you wont know the person as well as if you were by his side, knowing how he reacts to a traffic problem, a beggar on the street, a child crying, etc.
Keeping that in mind, that there will be much to find out when you are together again, yes, it can work.... Just dont assume you know everything about the person, I guess...

I had a long distance relationship and it worked great as a long distance relationship, but as soon as we moved in together it was horrible.

I think it all depends on the two people and honestly when you do move to an area where you can be together it would be better to have the dating process go like normal.

Sometimes long distance relationships do work, but I say proceed with caution. It might be better to maintain a long distance friendship and if the time and place occurs where you can be together then pursue the relationship.

Of course if you are going to be back in England in a few months or he is going to move to where ever you are soon then that is totally different, but if there aren't any plans of either one of you moving then just keep it as a friendship.

Im in a long distance relationship now...it has its good days but after a while (its been 4 months) i realized that his phone personality is different from his personality when were around each other. It may sound funny but its true. 3 of my friends were previously in long distance relationships and they all said the same thing..good luck. But remember this, sometimes its better to break things off and see if fate bring yall back together cuz its not worth the heart break and completely messing up yall chances together if u go back over there

I dont think of everybody needs to have a protracted distance courting. existence happens and gets interior the way, you purely ought to artwork around it. If somebody needs to be with their long distance BF or GF adequate/or they love them adequate, they're going to flow to the place the different guy or woman is and supply up the long distance ingredient. those people who've relationships over the internet or out of state "basically because of the fact" are probable dropping their time. long distance relationships wont final if there isnt dedication.
