They usually start sitting between 6 and 8 months, and start crawling between 7 and 9 months. I'm sure your daughter is right on track. Just remember that all babies develop at different rates :-)

Well every baby is different but my daughter was sitting by herself around 6 and a half 7 months. My friends daughter was around 8 months before she sat on her own. Try practicing with her for about 15 min a couple of times a day. Also I would put blankies to prop her all around her to keep her steady and help with balance. If you are really worried call the the doctor just in case. Good luck!

hi try not to worry about your daughters progress. each baby develops at diferent rates it doesnt mean that there could be something wrong with your daughter. i think the age is 6 months old but some sit up earlier and some later. my daughter is nearly 6 months old now and has just started sittting up on her own although its only for small periods as she is still wobbly.
if your daughter isnt sittting up by a year old then i would go to get her checked out but for now dont worry i'm sure your daughter is a clever little girl shes just taking her time.

I think like a year old, 7 months is too young they have to develop a strong spinal cord before she can sit by herself.

most of the time its around 6 months. But all babies are different i think if she dont start to sit up by 8 months i would let the pediatrician know.

All babies are different, and they start doing things on their own time. She will be able to do it when she's ready. If you are really worried, you can always talk to her doctor about it at her next appointment

she will do both things, they do things at their own time. Don't rush her. If you are too worried, talk to the dr. when she goes for her check up.
