A lot of the answers I read on here talk about ultrasound photos early on in pregnancy, here in my province in Canada...you get ONE ultrasound at or around 20 weeks..I don't think it's fair.
I'm wondering how often you pregnany ladies can get in to get an ultrasound, are there limits? And what state or province do you live in?

Since you have Government controlled insurance they are not willing to pay for more than one unless there is a problem. The same way with the military here in the states. My husband's niece (Her husband is in the Army) started bleeding at 14 weeks and even then they refused to pay for another U/S until later in her pregnancy.

Im in Sydney, Australia and i only got 2 ultrasounds. I had one at nearly 6wks gestation because of a threatened miscarriage. But everything turned out ok and im still carrying. Then i had a second ultrasound at 18wks and i was told the sex, the size and the delivery date. I was told i would not get any more unless i had a medical problem with myself or bub....i wasnt happy.

I was told by a doctor friend that delivery dates given after 12-13wks gestation can be at least 10 days out from the actual/correct age of the baby. Im actually quite scared as ive asked for more ultrasounds and have been rejected since i have two delivery dates that are 2 weeks apart (14days) and i dont want my placenta failing if i go over the 42wk max gestation.

Im going to appeal the decision again as im absolutely sure that the earlier date is the one i should go by.

I live in NC and I have had four ultrasounds done already and I am 24 weeks pregnant. I have one more ultrasound due around week 32-34. I have had so many because of the placenta placement of my baby. The reason that I am having another one later on is to check for the position of the placenta and check the size of my baby. I want to have a VBAC and the only way they will let me is if my baby is under 8 lbs. I delivered my daughter via c-section due to her size. I hope this helps you and I hope you have a great pregnancy!

Usually here in Utah you only get the one at 20 weeks also. I have high risk pregnancies so I get them from the beginning. I think it is the only bonus to a high risk pregnancy. I don't think there are limits to how many you can get. I think that some insurances wont pay for more than one. Isn't in Canada that the government pays for your insurance? Maybe that is why. Just a thought.

I was only allowed one at 6 months. They weren't able to determine the sex of my baby and I wasn't happy with that! So I called an ultrasound school and it cost me $20 and they put it on video for me and printed me a million pictures. Plus, I found out I was having a girl. So I would call around at some ultrasound schools...

In New Mexico, there is only one at 5 months, unless you have a troubled pregnancy, then you can get as many as they think you need. With my twins, I had one at 5 months, when we found out there were two, and one every two weeks after, it was a high risk twin pregnancy.

truthfully tho regardless in the event that they do have an abortion area you will nonetheless have those which will positioned up in being pregnant anyhow. style of like people who double or triple positioned up in distinctive sections to get distinctive solutions. Or people who positioned up just to fire up issues. the only reason i will't stand the abortion questions is the question particularly in no way gets replied. It will become a what peoples ideals are! understand what i mean? Then it particularly is going to become a heated debate no rely if abortion is sweet or incorrect. So in all actuality what's that particularly answering? i'm getting extra aggravated with the folk who ask the questions and the people who answer voice there opinion on abortion whilst that's no longer even what exchange into asked. i attempt to ward off those questions in any respect fees in my opinion. Why because of the fact it merely is going to coach you the way plenty the guy particularly does no longer care approximately there unplanned being pregnant in the event that they could ask finished strangers on yahoo no rely if or no longer they could have there infant or no longer. in my opinion it particularly is something they could think of roughly and soul seek them selfs. experience whilst did it make experience to place the limbo of there unorn baby on strangers? I mean shall we be trustworthy after somebody asks that query do they actually make there decision in keeping with what you and that i or somebody else thinks? Like "ok those varieties of strangers on yahoo solutions say i could abort. i'm gonna do this now!" Come on that's no longer functional in any respect. To be trustworthy those asking approximately area effects or disadvantages ok effective. yet asking in the event that they could do it? Its ludacris!

i live in south carolina and i've had 3 done so far and i'm only 29 weeks. i had one at 8 weeks, one at 24, and one yesterday. i paid for the 24 week one at an imaging center here in columbia where they take 30+ pics of the baby's face and body and they record the whole session for you. i believe that my doctor said he would only 2.

I believe it depends on your insurance carrier. Some only cover routime ultrasounds @ certain times , also @ 20 weeks.
