What bothers me most about leftists is their religious self righteousness. I dont know if I have ever met a leftist who didnt already have you pigeon-holed, like an Jihadist upon sight of a "unbeliever".

In a second, they decide if your a "troll" or a "hater" or whatever little labels their little religious minds have prepared. Obviously, thats where dialogue ends and where a vomitt match should occur if you care to stoop to their level.

Yes they will object to my use of the word "religious", but thats only because...well...they are stupid. See, religion is merely a zealous adherence to a specific belief. Look it up. I mean, as a matter of logic, honestly, whats the fricking difference between a wild eyed Jihadist and a self righteous Marxist? Are both not starry eyed about a specific doctrine? Have they not both sold out to it? Thats the only measure really.

The contrast to this would be a pragmatic person or a person who genuinely holds nothing as absolute.

Well one thing for sure they aren't History majors or economists. No country has held any standard of living for long by laying that heavy a burden on their economy. The lefts pipe dreams have been tried over and over again through history yet why they don't look at these as case studies and learn is beyond me.

Yes - liberals often acknowledge the complexity of individuals and situations. This leads them to decry use of absolutist language like a certain 'You are either with us or against us' statement by a US President, or claiming that a vote for the political opponent is a vote for terrorists.

i have been giving this idea some thought before and for some time. I think it is the lack of religion that doesnt let them understand how religion can be so powerful. It is hard for the everyday man to think outside his own world and if they dont understand the power of religion and how it can control everything you do they dont understand how islamic radicals can have a core belief of armageddon and world dominance. They have the pie in the sky mentality of people are good at heart, (see all their social programs,) so they cant understand the threat that is posed to us. the sad thing is the terrorists know this and they exploit it.

That's funny, the last time I checked it was the religious reich....er, right that you pretty much described. The only thing you did was put your own O'Reilly-esque spin on this by making a false claim like that. You big dummy!
