Iraq has some growing up to do. No country seen to be modern hasn't got there without some form of civil war. Saddam is not the answer though, he ruled with an iron fist. Iraq must get there without being told what to do, it will figure it out on it's own. What's important is that it doesn't end up becoming what it has already been. An author, far more intelligent that me, said that the problem with the middle east is that it's always had money sprouting naturally from the ground. The government is corrupt and because no one pays taxes it makes the government unaccountable to the people. As much as we hate systems, people have to be connected in some way or another...

I think this is a question for the Iraqi people, it is their country.

I am disturbed tho by a programme on T.V. recently about another budding dictator with the military already behind him. It would seem also that British officials are aware of this and seem to be supporting him, he is another extremist. The British officials seem to be very good at letting a potential mess happen in the first place. I do not blame British officials for Saddam Hussein, I would imagine the man is very clever and manipulative amongst many other horrible things, but you think they would have enough sense to stop this latest madman. They are supposed to be sorting the country out, many people have died for this purpose.

What a crazy thought ! He would resolve things alright, he would eradicate everyone who was opposed to him, move back into even more luxurious palaces, and may God help everyone.
