like how do i put a curve on the ball that it will curve. i also want to know how to put top spin on the ball.

Get a rubber paddle with padding (it helps with the spinning big time in comparison to the harder wood paddles). Then as you're returning the ball to the other player you want to brush the side of it rather than hit it directly back at him. It will take some practice, but after a few tries you'll get it. Brushing the right side will make it spin one way and brushing the left side will make it spin the other way. If you brush the top of the ball toward your opponent you will get "top spin" and increase the speed of the ball as it hits the other side of the table.

To put some spin on the ball, just slice the ball very slightly, as though you are taking a cut at it with a knife. The thinner the slice the more spin you put on the ball.
For top spin just undercut the ball with the slice, instead of the side-ways slicing motion.

You have to practice a lot to make a good body position suit for make top spin stroke. Top spin stroke is a stroke which player have to practice because this is a stroke that not a normal hit. Player have to wait the ball come till it the right time to hit.
