Lots of good restaurants in Boston. A safe bet and local favorite is Legal's Seafood. A must if its your first time to Boston. There are many in the area. For authentic Mexican food, I recommend Casa Romero on Gloucester St. Yummy stuff. If you want fall off the bone barbeque, try Redbones in Somerville (close to Boston). If you want to try the North End for Italian, Mother Anna's on the top of Hanover St (close to where the Sumner Tunnel comes out) is one of my all time favorite restaurants in Boston. For French, I recommend Brasserie Jo's at the Collonade Hotel on Huntington Ave. Top of the Hub at the top of the Prudential tower is also good if you want to have good views of the city, or during the day, you could visit the observatory as well. Enjoy!

There are SO many it's hard to say. What type of food are you looking for??? If you like Italian, try Strega in the North End. If you go to www.digitalcity.com and click on Boston they have lists of a bunch of top restaurants in the city. I'd also recomment Union Oyster House or Legal Seafoods since they are so famous around the city.

A few great ones on Newbury Street: Kashmir Indian Food, Upper Crust Pizza, Sonsie contemporary cuisine, Shino Sushi Express, L'Espalier French cuisine (expensive).
Closer to downtown: Davios (amazing italian food), Fire and Ice (fun grill place), No.9 Park (contemporary cuisine, expensive), Ruth Chris (best steak ever).
Out west of Boston: Fugakyu on Beacon St. (fancy japanese food), Fireplace on Beacon St. (grill), Tasca on Com Ave. (nice Spanish Restaurant)

Zuma's is a great Tex Mex place in Quincy Market. McCormick is also in the same area and has great seafood. But if you want good Italian go to the North End
