Being a kid is no easy task . Do as the K said above . You'll be OK . It is hard to make a transition as big as the one your going to make . It's not like your moving to the next city . Or a few blocks . This is across the country . You have to make your home and friends where your Mom and Dad take you . Your young and smart . You will be making friends in no time . Just think of this as a adventure . You will see new things do new things . You will meet people that have different cultures . See how they live . The food will be different too . The only thing about Texas there is very little snow . I would say none . But I'm sure someone would say different . Hot ? Well if you like hot Texas is the place to be . So saddle up old paint and go west kid go west .

I hated it when I was younger and my parents made me move, and I am sorry to say but will be doing the same thing with my kids (possibly to Irving, TX) It will be hard at 1st because you don't really want to go. All you know is in new Jersey, but know that there are new beginnings and new possibilities. You get to start over and fresh. meet new people and still stay friends with the old ones. even have a long distance relationship and depending on how old you are, when you turn 18 (if you are not) you can move back to NJ if Texas is all that bad.

Honestly there is no way to feel better, you just have to pretty much move on. To make new friends? Just be yourself, eventually some one will come to you and you'll be best friends. Just cuz ur somewhere new doesn't mean you get to stop being your self just live life and have fun. When you move the first thing to do is maybe go around town, get to know people and places. Then in school, don't be afraid to express yourself around people and do clubs and stuff that you like to do. Besides, people will probably think its cool that you came for Jersey. That's how it was for me ^_^

Making friends really comes naturally. Have you noticed that when you were first starting school, you probably didn't worry too much about making friends? You just found them. So I would talk to other people when you have the opportunity, but don't force the issue. Since you can't change the decision, make the best out of it! And make sure, if you can, call up your old friends and tell them all about it! E-mail or IM them or send them mail too. Maybe you will end up liking it there! Good luck!

Don't listen to Blunter, Texas is great. Just go to school and be yourself. People are going to make fun of your accent, but they don't mean any harm by it. Just go be yourself, you'll be unique! How old are you though, because you can make friends probably pretty easy if you're still in school.

i know how you feel. i remember when i moved to Virginia from new york.i was scared that no one would like me or want to be my friend. But i was myself and I'm very friendly so i made friends fast. so as long as you be yourself and don't act like your better than anyone you should be okay. and ur boyfriend...if he likes you then the distance shouldn't matter...good luck...
