I don't know that there should be an age applied to it. I'm sure there are perfectly evil 5 year olds out there.

If I had to pick an age at which it's POSSIBLE you would be tried as an adult, I'd pick 8.

That wouldn't mean every 8 year old who screws up is f'd for life - but if after careful evaluation it's determined that this is one bad-*** 8-year old, then off to adult court he or she goes.

There are plenty of 30 year olds who are not responsible for their actions. This is a case where th eneed to protect society outweighs any "rights" of the individual.

I do not believe there is an actual physical age. I believe you are accountable when you can truly understand the concept of whatever right or wrong is being decided upon. It varies with each person.
