I don't have much experience with mp3's but when I did get a mp3 player and asked a younger co-worker where to get music the recommendation was limewire.com Being non-techie and not having downloaded music from the days of free napster, I found limewire very easy to use. I didn't try any of the other sources she mentioned since it worked so well for me.
