i'm serious, all black people have a certain "smell" to them.. what's the deal with that?

People who eat a lot of greasy or oily skin DO indeed have certain smells. I ate a whole jar of Penrose sausages one night, and the cats wouldn't come around me for 3 days!

I think it depends on what you eat!

I don't know if you're sincere or not, so I'll assume you are.

I noticed something too when I moved from a small (all-white) town. I'm not saying EVERY black person smelled the same, but I noticed many had a powdery smell, I would say.

I finally concluded that it's probably hair product. That made sense to me, since many use the same products to deal with their hair. I can't imagine you'd find an entire race using the same perfume!

Personally i think thats a question that may offend ''blacks''. I'm black and i don't have a funny smell, and yes its certian when your refering to me only, but no it not certian when your refering to me as a black. I have had many people of all races to tell me that i smell good and that i don't smell like some of my other friends. But to answer your question it mostly not "blacks" itcould be anyone of any race and its mainly because they don't take care of themselves like they should

white people smell like wet dog...what's the deal with that? It's not the blacks smell different it's just the way you smell them. I always smell like roses, because I use rose scents everyday. What are you doing smelling black people anyway?

Hey Dude!

Obviously you are not educated on the subject of Black Hair Products. We use a variety of hair products on a daily basis including; hair lotions, afro sheens, pomades, oils, gels, hair dress, hair grease daily on our hair....and the list goes on and on. The scents range from olive oil, lanolin coconut oil, fresh scent, sage and so forth.

Now if you step this way.....you are going to smell Dove, Nautica perfume, Isoplus Hair Dress and Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera Lotion.

PS....Oh and not to forget, back in High School and College the White Boys Loved it....they were on me like White on Rice.

I think i know what your talking about. Its not a smell from them ..its just the products they use. like koreans, they smell like garlic, cuz..they eat lot of kimchees and it uses lots of garlics in their food. and Maybe some black people smells like coco butter or somekind of hairproduct, cuz..they use a lot of those. so, its not the smell from the people..its the products you are smelling. so, if an asian person puts on coco butter and some oil products in their hair, they will smell similar.
