Umm when you are doing literature circles how do u do the place tracer?

So I am like stupid but I have to do this place tracer fpr my lit circle group and i am confused,

If I had to guess, I'd say that a "place tracer" is someone who describes the setting and why it is important to the story.
That';s what makes sense to me. Your teacher probably made it up because it sounds better than "setting describer"
