you mean a protective cup?
in martial arts but occassionally dont - i had an instructor who taught that on the street you have no cup and have to be mentally tough enough to take a shot to the b@lls and carry on fighting - thats so true - guys who havent learnt this go down easy if you pummel their nuts
in baseball however a cup is essential - a 120 mph pitch will destroy your nads
