There is no right that saays you have the right to look and enjoy nature, but if the teacher closes the blinds, pretend to hyperventilate and tell the teacher you need them opened because you are claustrophobic. (Scared of small closed spaces.

No! Where exactly are you guaranteed the freedom to look and enjoy nature.
In the classroom, the teacher can do whatever he or she wants to make a better learning environment, including closing the blinds

NOW PAY ATTENTION in class

It is not illegal. If the classes attention was drawn away from the lesson, then the blinds should be closed.
You did not say if audio visual equipment was being used. And it would keep the room warmer, conserving energy.

What an idiotic question. Next time your teacher closes the blinds, tell the principal that you think he should call the police and have the teacher arrested.

I'm sure the principal will think you are brilliant.

School is for education, not to watch the snow outside and being distracted from the subject matter being taught.

yet another excuse to sue someone eh?

being sarcastic of course.
It is the job of the teacher to teach. It is the job of the teacher to keep his/her class motivated. It is the job of the teacher to insist that her class stay focussed.

NO it is not the job of the teacher to leave the blinds open so you can enjoy nature..... do it on your own time.

Thats a negative. Generally speaking, unless the teacher makes physical contact with you, they aren't breaking any laws.

no its not illegal, your teacher is just trying to eliminate anything that may distract his/her students from learning.

you obviously need to concentrate more on learning if you think that closing blinds could actually be illegal.
