A question for all you Hendrix-lovers out there, it's been driving me mad. Theres this Akala song called The Edge (pretty good UK rapper by the way....) which samples a riff from a Hendrix song that I want to learn on my guitar, except I can't until I get the name of the song which is proving....impossible.

Yeah I thought it didn't sound like Hendrix either, but reviews of the song all said he was using a Hendrix sample so I assumed it must be...

It's not a Hendrix riff. The reviews are calling it "Hendrix styled riffs", but it doesn't sound very Hendrix to me at all.
It's just a riff on the bottom two strings. I can't tab in this space, but basically:

Sounds like Hendrix, but i havent heard that song before. Try typing this song online, maybe it will say which Hendrix song it was

if that is a Hendrix riff, it is one i have never heard..but that don't mean it isn't...my advice: watch the opening guy and just mimick his hand placement...you don't see it all, but being a guitar player you should have a pretty good idea of what to do...best of luck.....
