Well, many people cannot control their anger, or "temper" as they call it. Those people who cannot controll themselves when they become angry, tend to want to hurt something, or do something that will hurt somebody, therefore realising their pain and sending it on to someone else. It's a form of energy release, that is usually let out on children because they are smaller, weaker, and defensless. Parents hurt their children not because the child did something so wildly wrong, but because they have problems in life that they cant deal with, and every small other problem irritates them.
I really hope this help!
Good Luck!

Each abusive parent is that way for their own reasons. Either they were abused or they may have anger issues and were never abused they just don't know what do when they get mad. I am not a violent person but when I first became a mother my son was maybe 4 months old and he was up all night and he kept crying and nothing I did helpped. I remember holding him and feeling very angry at him and I know that if I didn't put him in his crib and walk into the other room for a few minutes I feel I would have hurt him. I made the right choice and walked away and cooled off but not everyone makes that choice. Being a parent is so hard and if you don't have the abililty to keep a cool head it is very easy to lose control.

My mom passed away when I was 4 never met my dad. Was put up for adoption and was physically and verbally abused by my adoptive mother. I dont really know why parents abuse I think its because they are weak and they get their power by abusing their children. As an adult regaurdless of my upbringing so many people cant believe how good i turned out to be. I am happily married w/2 great beautiful kids and I am not anything like people would suspect after going through that. I was put down told i was fat, ugly, that nobody would ever want me, and I believed it. I was afraid of guys so I didnt date I wasnt in sports I had a hard time in HS guys made fun of me for what reason because I was an easy target I was nice shy and I was their prey. I didnt have that mother-daughter bond with her I hate her more than anything on this earth. When I was in the 8th grade I had something happen to me that she doesnt no about and I hated the fact that I couldnt tell her she wouldnt of believed me anyway. There were many people in my hometown who knew of the abuse but wouldnt help because they didnt want to get involved. I was depressed and would take her diet pills to try to commit suicide. I had went through one horrible ordeal to go throught this. To all the parents who decide to adopt do it for the right reasons. Children are innocent and need to be loved and taken care of. I love my kids more than my own life and I would never let anyone get away with abusing my kids.

Some abuse, cause the kids get on their nerves, some abuse cause they believe the kids are in the way of the parent doing what they want to do. Some abuse cause they didn't want to get pregnant in the first place.

some parents don't discipline thier kids at all except when the parents have had enough and blow up on them. Id say because of a lack of discipline on the parent's part. If they gave them proper spankings in the proper proportion to thier age as they should have throughout their young years, I don't think it would be so hard.

Ninety percent of the time they were probably abused as kids. If not they are probably on drugs and need their own assses kicked.
