I can't stop thinking about having as many children as possible. I know it's not wise to since I am far from rich, not exceptionally patient, and I'm also quite small. My two year old is too heavy for me to carry up the stairs already!
Anyhow, I'm thinking it's some wierd genetic thing because my grandma, and four of her daughters all had between 6-13 biological children each only stopping because of menopause.
What do you think? Is this lunacy genetic?

I don't think it's genetic, but it might just be in the way that you were raised. My hubby was from a family of four children and so was my dad. nothing compared to your families. after talking about how many children we want to have, we decided that we want 4. holidays are so much more fun with so many people around. large families are probably just what you are used to, so that's probably what you want to base your own family on. and to all those people that think there are enough people in the world, don't listen to them. yes, there are children that are waiting to be adopted. however, why should we all have to raise children that their own parents didn't even want. all the people that tell you to adopt probably are pro-life also.

Maybe. But it's more likely you've been influenced by your grandmother and aunts and would like a family like theirs.

Set yourself a reasonable limit (e.g. 2-3 kids) and then decide after child #2 or #3 if you still feel the same way. I bet if you have 3 toddlers running around you might decide that 3 is plenty!

Geezz...there are so many children in this world that need a parent.
If you really would like to have more children around you, then why don't you foster children or adopt?
Help a child in need, your heart is big enough...:)

Sure can be...I met my father in 2001 and I developed social traits early in my childhood that are found in my father. My new sisters are amazed at how similar my father and I are eventhough I never knew him. And I'm 40!

Could be genetic - a lot is traced back to genes! Or maybe you just feel you need to, because they did? Upside? You'd practically never have your period ;)

We should become like China and regulate!
The environment can't handle all of the people that we're producing. If you want a crap load of kids.....adopt.
