Pull the damn media out of Iraq and eliminate the politicians and let us do our job and it would be over. With all the cry babies in this country and world we are held back from our true capabilities. And it is funny, cause most of these cry babies have not an inkling of an idea of what is really going on over there. They just sit their fat butts on the couch and become brainwashed by the tv. I say good for all of you drones out there. Your criticism is keeping us there longer then we have to be. Shut your mouths and let us do our job and we will get out of there a lot quicker.

Which war are you talking about? The war on Terror, the war in Afghanistan, or the war in Iraq? We were "baited and switched." There was 9/11 and everyone in this country and many in the world were outraged and wanted "justice." We were supposed to go after Osama, remember him, and we did not. Instead, we toppled the govt. of Afghanistan, and fought many in that country who had nothing to do with 9/11. Then, all of a sudden we invaded Iraq. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, but we were still giving Bush a free hand and he slipped that one in on us. The Iraqis, instead of being happy that we "liberated" them from a brutal dictator, have fought us door to door for longer than it took us to defeat Germany, Italy, and Japan in world war 2. This will on their part to not give in to our intervention should, and has to many, told us something about the whole venture into Iraq. We are more vulnerable because we invaded Iraq. Iraq is more vulnerable because of it as well. There were no terrorists in Iraq before we went in. Iraq is rubble, over 500,000 Iraqis are dead, and it is time to admit that Bush was wrong, no matter what we think his motives were. Generals now say that if we had 2-3 times as many soldiers as we do now, we still would not win, for there is no win to be had. There is no trophy at the end of this game.

Probably because in order to successfully fight and win a war, a country needs several things: first, it needs a justifiable cause that can rally the support of all its countrymen; secondly, it needs a strong leader with excellent strategy and powerful speeches that boost morale; and third, it needs a reason to believe that the future of the country will be greater for the outcome of the war. Since this particular war has none of the above mentioned components, I think it's safe to say that lots of Americans just can't justify a reason to get behind George Bush on this one. Sorry.

Osama himself said he was emboldened after seeing US troops pulled out of Somalia because we took some losses there. The fact that there was never really any response to terrorist attacks to US installations around the world was further proof.

One thing we dare not show is weakness. It will not appease those who hate us, it will only encourage them.

Pulling out of Iraq too soon, and leaving it in the hands of the Islamic radicals, is a recipe for further terrorism down the road. It happened when the Soviets pulled out of Afghanistan. Look what happened. The Islamic radicals, the Taliban, took over and Afghanistan become a haven for terrorism. Those terrorists struck us and killed 3,000 innocent civilians.

The same damn thing will happen again in Iraq if we pull out without leaving a stable and secure gov't behind. In 5 - 15 years, we'll be attacked again, and have to do this all over again, unless we do the job now!

After reading the posts from all the liberal wackos in regard to this question, it is clear that if these cowards were in charge, this country would be doomed. I'm glad these creatures are confined to college campuses and Starbucks cafes. Let the real men and women lead and save this country. If it weren't for heroes such as these, we would be speaking German and Japanese, which would be fine for the communist, leftist vermin.

I've wondered the same thing. It's not only American citizens though. It's the government and our ignorant decisions when we vote. This war is definitely not making a good impression on anyone.

The Iraq "war" is not winnable.
Getting out now when there is no end in sight is the best solution.
Leaving Iraq will NOT make us vulnerable. Explain that.

1. We will NEVER win this war, it's not ours to win and never has been.
2. We are no more vulnerable now then we've ever been.

I don't believe attacking a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 ...will help us win anything.
Why can't you and others on this site realize that Iraq is about Oil and join with reality and hold those truly responsible for this disaster in Iraq accountable?
