I have done the same thing. What you do is open that movie with the movie maker. click on FILE, SAVE MOVIE FILE, and then this movie saveing wizard comes up. just click on WMV when it asks you for the format. That should be it.

Hi
Ok first , you need to open windows media player , then play it , stop and save it has a wmv format , now if that dosent work , download winamp and do the same , The point here is that you have to save the file WITH the extension wmv , now also , try to do a convert format , for that here is the site http://www.connectedhomemag.com/visual/Articles/Index.cfm?ArticleID=22657

.mswmm is your project file, not a movie file. You need to go to File > Save Movie File. There you can save as .wmv or dv-avi. That you can change to a .mpeg if you find the right encoder/converter program.

Get a Video Converter, I suggest go to www.download.com and search for a video converter on their, some have limitations like only 1/2 of movie or Watermark on output, well there is some that convert the whole thing... I would download that one lol.
Their you go! :D
