I suppose it depends on the company, but have you checked to see what positions are available? If it's retail, see if they have stock clerk, checker or cashier, customer service clerk or warehouse clerk.
1.) decide what position you'd like
2.) always ask for more than minimum wage (don't sell yourself short)
3.) tell them you are looking for an opportunity to contribute to their growing company. you heard it was a great place to work and you feel you would be an asset if you were hired.
good luck

I used to be a hiring manager at a hotel. You definately want to be decisive in your application.
Position applying for: If you don't care what position....find out what they are hiring for and what you would be qualified to do. List multiple positions, if need be. Definately put a position down...."any position available" would have seemed kind of lazy to me.
Desired Starting Salary: I would not put down minimum wage....once again that is like saying I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE!! Granted, you have no experience but you don't want that to scream from your application. Add a buck onto the minimum wage, at least. If minimum wage is what they pay...you would still be within the realm of reason for the hiring manager.
What interests you most: Companies LOVE to hear: "I am interested in working, as a team, with the other employees at your company". "I look forward to learning all I can about this company". Be POSITIVE and talk as if you ALREADY have the job!!!

No. 1
I am available for any open positions in your company.
No.2
If your ok with minimum wage and you don't have retail experience they will most likely start you off at minimum wage anyway, maybe just leave that blank, I used to do that when I was unsure, or just write down: Can discuss upon meeting or can discuss subject during interview. something like that.
No.3
You can say that you love working and interacting with other people which is why you feel that retail would be a perfect job for you. Tell them that you are looking to build a career and feel that their company would be the best place for you to start and obtain that. Tell them how much you admire their company and employees and that you'd be more than delighted to represent their company oh and tell them that you'd love to be apart of their team.
Remeber sweety, kissing *** is the way to go!!!
Lol, but seriously good luck hun!

Ok you want a job so now you have to sell yourself. That's what these questions are all about. They know exactly what they want to hire you for but they want to see what you think about yourself. Don't have too big an ego but don't be timid either.
Think about a nice job that would interest you and you would enjoy doing, say that, but clarify it with the fact you would take a lesser job to get started with their company.
They also know exactly what they would pay you if hired. So same advice, go a couple of bucks an hour over what you think they normally pay entry level employees. You might get it but more likely they will offer you what you thought in the first place but let them make the decision.
Company's like to hire employees who want more that just a job to make money. That type of Job might be what you want just now but you must say you find the company interesting and would like to make a career there. Who knows maybe you will and maybe you wont but for now tell them what they want to hear. Don't tell them you just want a job for the money even if you do.

First, Is this company currently hiring,?if not you may just be wasting your time, but if your application looks promising, they may keep it on file.
# 1) State something like you are flexible
#2) Employers tend to take advantage of the young, poor pay and bad hours, State negotiable dont sell your self short! #3) Their fishing to see if you know anything about the product or service that they provide, There must be something that is attracting you to this company.

1. Any position
2. Open
3. Interested in retail sales
Also if you know anything about any items that are sold at this company let them know you know info on that item.
For example, years back when I applied for a job that sold cb radios, I told them I knew a lot about them because at that time I was very active talking on them. It got me the job because they sold a lot of them.
