i recommend starting a website. put all your beliefs on it, regarding asteroids, end-of-the-world, Planet Niburu, the dead coming back to life, and anything else you can think of. Be imaginative, as content, especially verifiable content, doesn't really matter. then watch the hits! you might put up a forum, let people post whether they agree or not, but you be forum-master and delete the bad ones. it's your webpage, right? then spread the word... on the playground between classes, about the End Of The World in 2012. Don't forget to make copies of the website! So you can do it all again for 2015!

That's the same date the Mayans predict for the end of the world!.
Their recurring calendar, one which is over 4,000 years old, cannot go beyond that date, yet it can go back forever. It has a sun and moon on the dial and they line up a couple of times. On each occasion they spell a disaster. They predicted polar reverse shift and have carvings on stone showing these catastrophes. Type in Mayan calendar and read about this amazing culture.

There is one scheduled for collision - about 300 meters across - So it wouldnt be much of a problem for us, Earthlings :) But the other collision due in 2029 is with a massive 1 mile across asteroid which NASA plans to blast off or divert course

Planetary Alignment more likely would divert asteroids than cause them to crash, since they are attracted to the larger masses of Jupiter and Saturn. Comets and Meteors are a larger danger.
That date appears on Y! Answers all the time. It is the end of the Mayan Calender. I suppose the worst that will happen is those old stone calenders might get infected with a Mayan Y2K.
Better get those emergency kits ready!

Its a close collision possibility and there are more and more of these being found.
NASA is working on landing on such bodies and attaching rocket motors to change their orbit, hopefully into the sun!!
Dont worry abot it. The last words of the last living being an earth will be "What the F-ck was th"

I know it, but the NASA has said that alone it will pass very close (40000 kilo meters), although the shield anti-missiles of United States sounds suspect a little.
