yes it's good.
but i LOVE baz luhrmann's adaptation.. i think if u just watch it and let it wash over u, but *knowing* the story of romeo and juliet, u don't have to understand each part of the dialogue to get into the story. it's more for the Stylistic characteristics, themes, acting, and attention to details that get me engrossed into the movie itself

Yes, the rest of the film is good. And it shows you the whole play. The Baz Luhrman film with Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes has some good moments in it, but they chopped the script all to pieces and greatly lessened the role of Juliet. (Which is a pity, because Danes handled the language better than DiCaprio did.)
I hope you'll rent the 1968 film and watch the whole thing--enjoy!

I saw that movie in class a while ago, my teacher thought that Romeo was prettier than Juliet.
It`s a good movie based entirely on Shakespeare play. I really liked it.

It is a wonderful movie- the sets, the costumes, the actors and of course, with Shakespeare's script it's an amazing production.

If your spending your time watching romeo and juliet in class and all you can think about is a pre-adolesent boy off of disney then you must be failing miserably! and it depends on who you are the show romeo's butt and juliet's breast so close your eyes soon after romeo kills juliet's cousin

Yep, saw it when it first came out! I was about 14. I saw it with my dad, who said no way Juliet at her age (14) could have boobs as big as Olivia Hussey's. But by then mine were bigger than hers. Ha Ha.
