This so called "Free Speech" is tandamount to falsly screaming "Fire" in a crowded movie theater, making a "bomb threat" or threatening someone with violence.
Speaking out against the government and the president is "Alarmism" and should be dealt with accordingly, such as detention, detainment and/or corrections/rehabilitation.

None. Criticizing political leaders is NOT "tantamount to screaming fire..." and is exactly the kind of speech the authors of the first amendment wanted to protect.

You are advocating policies that were practiced in Nazi Germany, the USSR, Saddam's Iraq, etc. and is still practiced in Communist China and North Korea today. You "hate our freedom".

No limits to free speech, however responsibility to the country is required. Leaking government secrets is treason and the punishment during wartime is death. There are more discreet ways to air government wrongdoing than publishing in the NYT. Politicians have a duty to the country and the people. Not to themselves.

Remember the teeth of the Constitution are in the Second Amendment.

And here I thought we had heard the last of John Ashcroft.

If you can't recognize the difference between yelling "FIRE" in a movie theatre, and being critical of the President, I can only hope it's because you are WAY too young to vote, or because you live in North Korea.

Oh; and if you criticize me or my response, I will have you detained and "rehabilitated."

May be you could install a fascist government. Then ou could take care of those details.
One problem though: What if you got a president that YOU disagreed with? Oops! You'd have to change the laws again so you would have free speech!

I disagree. People critical of President Bush are not able to be reformed and it's expensive to keep them detained.

Every good Christian Republican should be issued a gun and instructed in the proper method of quickly executing anyone being critical of Bush.
