The Sons of Liberty were an organization that was dedicated to overthrowing British rule. Strongest in Massachusetts, they were led by Samuel Adams and John Hancock, and were made up mostly of lower middle class and working class men. They were involved in boycotts, violent actions against British officials, and the Boston Tea Party. Paul Revere was in fact one of their number, and participated in the Tea Party, spread propaganda for them (see his famous etching of the Boston Massacre) and of course made (but did not complete) the Midnight Ride to warn Lexington and Concord that the British Army was on its way.

Yes, he was and they dressed up like indians and dumped all of the tea overboard imported to Boston from Briton because the British were taxing them on tea. This act was called The Boston Tea Party.
