i have to say all of them. they all bring their own sense of style to the character and it works for Batman. All the men are gorgeous in their own way. so i have to say all of them.

Christian Bale is by far the better actor and his portrayal is more faithful to the classic stories and to the more recent (post O'Neill/Adams and post Miller) stories. On the other hand, given the Batman comics of the early 60s, Adam West actually did a good job showing the absurdity of all that and was quite funny. Of the remainder, Clooney was the better actor but Keaton had the better scripts.

Christian Bale hands down
Batman is the Dark Knight. Dark doesn't mean "poorly lit"
none of the others brought out the "dark" part like Bale.
But it also goes to the script each was given. "Batman Begins" was by far the best writing of all.
George-too likeable
Keaton-at his most dark appeared only contemplative(don't get me wrong, I liked him in the part)
Val-Not enough of a BADA$$. Jim Morrison is the Lizard King not the dark knight.

I will always like Michael Keaton the best these other people were not right for the part. Bale was cool too. Maybe im wrong but batman is kinda like james bond. Neither james or batman are just pretty boys with fancy clothes. they work hard for their money and the actor should portray that with some intensity.

George Clooney or Christian Bale. George Clooney was just a great Batman and his fellow co-stars compliment him on screen. Christian Bale was just magnificent. He brought Batman to a new level of mysterious, boldness, and strength. He also showed a very soft and loving side you don't see much. So in the end I would have to go with Christian Bale.

Keaton was the best in the Burton/Schumaker films...but Christian Bale reinvented the role and made the character believable
