On all the machines I've used the feeder dog control is usually 2 buttons on the right side at the base of the machine. Press one and the dogs are up, press the other and the dogs are down. Press both halfway down and you are set for delicate fabric. I hope this helps, even though I don't have a brother. Check this site to buy a manual http://www.allbrands.com/products/abc0554.html

You might find what you need in a manual for a newer model...From a few that I looked at, there is a slide on the back that raises/lowers the dogs...but what is your model?
