Any good folklore websites? There used to be some great homespun ( pardon the pun ), websites on folklore and all kinds of things, that people would just throw together.

I mean, these were truly non-commercial! It seems to me we are really losing the non-commercial sites.

I had a Russian tea room! It was sooo Kool. It really looked like nothing was for sale. Don't think you could buy something off of it if you tried. I miss those, that one might still be out there. So Kool! Just guys in folklore costumes, drinkin' and tellin' stories.

Some subjects are becoming very hard to come by. People are not writing or wanting to write about things from the past, or myths. It is up to us to keep things alive. Take Santa Claus, He started out as Saint Nicholas. A Patron Saint that around Christmas time he went door to door, leaving lumps of coal on the door steps. Later making his return rounds his lumps of coal where gone and replaced with food items for the church. Now tell me how did we wind up with a black, hispanic, Yes even a chinese Santa Claus.. again folklore.
Maybe you need to take it into your own hands and save what was lost. Create your own site and folklore. I for one would come to read.
