Get ok from pediatrician. I started at 11 months putting 1/3 milk in with his formula for a week then uped it to half milk/half formula for a week then 2/3 milk for another week so that my 12 months he was on milk completely. This is what my pediatrician recommened because we had so many problems with formulas.

I would try the enfamil next step lipil first so that you're son's stomach is more prepared for when he goes to milk, I would do that for a month and a half to two months and then give him milk, at a year old he should be just fine.

If you're unsure or he starts to have diarhea or spitting it up a lot, check with your doctor, he may have a slight lactose intolerance (most babies do) and your doctor may suggest staying on the next step a little longer or switching to soy milk.

You can start giving him whole milk (homo milk) as soon as he's turned 1. I have a four year old so I know, I also asked my family doctor and pediatrician about this, if ever you are unsure about anything though or have doubts please see your doctor and/or get a second opinion on the subject.

Most pediatrician tell the parents to start whole milk after they are 12 months. Unless the doctor starts them early do not give the child milk. At the one year check up your pediatrician will probably advise you to start blending it in, such as half and half bottle and such.
