I know it must seem that way--we're bombarded by ads from department stores, jewelry stores, toy stores, and everything else under the sun, and it just seems to be all about getting, or guilting people into buying "the perfect gift." Moreover, even the Christmas specials are pretty secular, with the exception of "A Charlie Brown Christmas."

For that reason, I try to keep it low-key.

After all, God has already given us the perfect gift, the very best Heaven had to offer, in His Son, Jesus. Even if we don't know His exact birthday, He's the reason for the season--and all seasons as well.

I think Christmas has a different meaning for everbody. To me, it's not about Jesus, it's about family and celebrating. Just because it means something different to someone else doesn't mean that's not the TRUE or REAL meaning of Christmas.

what christmas really means is that christ came to earth for us people to offer us salvation. christmas represents the day he was born. he was born in a stable in a small town called bethlehem. that night angels came down from the heavens and sang. shepherds were out in the field and an angel came to them to tell them the great news.

Yes. Why do people ask rhetorical questions on a site meant for real questions?
