It is a shame. Uncover policemen who admit to having at least 2 drinks overhear what may have been a joke until investigation is complete we do not know. If anyone outside of a strip club in bad neighborhood wearing regular clothes pointed a gun at me, I would try to get away from gunmen. I doubt I would ever see the badge. The 2nd officer is my only problem, the police said he shot 31 times which means he stopped, reloaded & started to shoot again. I am waiting for results of investigation but so far the police explanation sounds bad for them.
We must allow the police to defend itself but not to continue shooting a groom or anyone else. Drinking on job whether uncover or not in unacceptable. I am a white 51 yr old woman, so no it is not a race or gender issue issue for me.

the age of everyone having cameras and videos in phones is going to cause a big problem with police. the fact is that police have to deal with the criminals and usually on their worst behavior and sometimes you have to use force to do that. The videos always show the retaliation but never why the cops did it. I dont condone police brutality but the fact is more and more videos are going to start surfacing showing this and it is going to hurt law enforcment. Most people really dont understand what crime and punishment is not being involved in it.
This story may or may not be this I dont know but this is my point on a soon to be extreme problem.

It is never all right to shoot a presumed innocent person in the back...From what I have heard New York has become a battleground. Just like gun happy police in Lose Angeles and Las Vegas....One man was shot over a cell phone there.
If people are not being protected by the police they pay, then it needs a serious overhaul, dis-banned, retrained and have a Congressional investigation.
The police cannot be judge, juror and executioner and then excuse themselves. That is tantamount to lynching even if one of them is black. People are quite capable of being racist towards their own...
I hope they fire Hannity/Colmes at Fox news too! They instigate trouble.

I agree with your point, firing as many shots as he did was totally unreasonable. A warning shot is feasible, as opposed to pumping someone full of lead. Im sure the officer will go through some evaluations, and possibly suspension. Time will tell, as we learn more specifics about the case.

Wooses California Cops could have got off at least 120.
Local cops shot a woman 128 times for sleeping in her car at a roadside rest stop.
Someone saw her sleeping and noticed she had a gun on the seat next to her. Cops showed up called for back up surrounded the car and did a Quinton Territino on her.

I wasn't there, so it would not be fair for me to judge the officers. Rumor has it that one of the wedding party has said he was going to the car to get his gun. The groom failed to comply with police orders, so they may have assumed there was a threat. Isn't it amazing that Al Sharpton doesn't need to know the facts before he comes down on the side of the African Americans...

I think when the police officers told the people to stop so they could talk to them, they should have stopped and talked to the cops. Not got into their car backed up into a police officer and tried to drive away hitting a police van in the process. I think doing that makes you look guilty and the cop doesnt know if you are armed or not.

The cops arrived to break up a fight. The driver said he was going to get a gun and ran for his car. The cops tried to stop him, he tried to run the cops down, hitting them and a police vehicle with his car. That's assault with a deadly weapon and the cops were just defending themselves. What would you do if someone tried to run you down and the only way to stop them was the gun in your hand? The only surprise is that they didn't hit the driver or occupants with more bullets, but that's because the car was moving toward them and they were firing as quickly as they could in their attempts to stop him.
The bottom line is -- the driver brought it on himself and he got what he deserved, the "innocent victims" shouldn't have gone with him when he said he was going to get his gun, and the cops did nothing wrong.

I think that we should wait for the results of an investigation. Many times, things are not as they 1st seem.

Gee,it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that when you try to run over a cop in a car,you get shot at..,I dont feel sorry for them. When are people going to realize cops have a job to do and they are in danger all the time,if you dont want to die..,dont put yourself in a situation where you may.Getting sick of idiots bashing cops for doing their damn job.
