Oh, I don't like mice in our apartment, either. We once had a mouse who was a visitor for two or three days and nights. He kept me up all night because I was afraid of him.

We discovered that he'd found a bag of our budgie seed and bored a little hole through it, and was feasting on that.

DH brought home a glue trap from work, and we sprinkled budgie seed on the middle of it. We removed the budgie seed bag and all loose seeds and put the glue trap in the spot where the budgie seed bag had been.

It didn't take long! We heard squealing from the cupboard and there he was, stuck onto the glue trap. This is an extreme measure but it worked.

The most humane thing to do is to put the poor creature out of its misery immediately.

Don't forget that some mice carry diseases and/or fleas and some also chew through electrical wires, which can be very dangerous indeed.

Put butter or cheese in the traps and place them like under sofa and u will hear the trap go off when the lights are off.
Search every corner in your home and look for holes, especially under cabinet sinks, put steel wool in these holes , mice hate steel wool

Try peanut butter for your bait. It has worked for me every time. Good luck.
